How to connect your Shopify store to Dreem

Walkthrough the steps of setting up Shopify connection in Dreem so you can start syncing and managing your store's products from one place.

Written by Phuong Anh (Sofia)

Connecting your Shopify store to Dreem gives you a single place to manage your product catalog and create content for it. Once linked, your products are available directly in Dreem — you can generate new images and videos, update product details, and push finished content back to Shopify without switching between platforms. Your product catalog stays in sync automatically, so any changes made in Shopify are reflected in Dreem without any manual action needed.

You can also follow the step-by-step guide below.

Before you start

You will need admin access to both your Dreem workspace and your Shopify store to complete the connection. Currently, each Dreem workspace can connect to only one Shopify store. If you manage more than one Shopify store, reach out to the Dreem support team for assistance.

Step 1: Connect Shopify in Settings

  1. In Dreem, click your workspace name or avatar to open Settings.

  2. Select Connections from the left menu.

  3. Under Hosted Shopping Cart Platforms, find Shopify and click Connect.

Step 2: Add your store

  1. On the Shopify connections screen, click Add New Store.

  2. You will be redirected to your Shopify admin page to authorize the connection.

  3. If you manage multiple Shopify stores, select the store you want to connect.

Once authorized, Dreem will begin importing your products. Depending on the size of your catalog, this may take a few moments. After the initial import, your catalog stays in sync automatically — any updates you make in Shopify will be reflected in Dreem without needing to re-import or reconnect.

Step 3: View your products in Dreem

Once the import is complete, select Products from the left sidebar. You will see your full Shopify catalog listed here.

From the product list, you can:

  • Sort by product name or date created

  • Use Column Display Settings to show or hide specific fields, so you can focus on what matters to your workflow

Your product data — including titles, descriptions, variants, and existing media — is carried over from Shopify automatically and kept up to date as your catalog changes.

Step 4: Edit product details

Click any product to open its detail page. This is where you can review and update information without going back to Shopify.

The product detail page includes several tabs:

  • Overview — product title, description, and core details

  • Variants — size, color, and other variant information

  • Properties — additional product attributes

  • Media — all images currently associated with the product

  • Channel — visibility and channel assignment settings

Any field you update in Dreem can be saved and synced back to your Shopify store directly from this page. This means your team can manage product content in one place and keep Shopify up to date without manual re-entry.

Step 5: Generate new content for your products

Once your products are connected, you can use any product image as the starting point for new AI-generated content — product shots, virtual model images, image-to-video, or full content kits.

To generate content from a product image:

  1. Open the product and go to the Media tab.

  2. Select the image you want to use as your input.

  3. Click to open it in Dreem Studio.

  4. In Studio, choose your generation type: Content Kit, Virtual Model, Image-to-Video, or Product Shot.

  5. Configure your generation settings and run.

You can also start a generation session independently in Dreem Studio and assign the outputs to a product afterward — the two paths work in either direction.

Step 6: Assign outputs and push to Shopify

After generating content in Studio, assign the outputs to the relevant product before pushing them to Shopify.

  1. From the Studio session, select the outputs you want to use.

  2. Assign them to your preferred product.

  3. Go to the product page and review the assigned content.

  4. When you are ready, push the updates to Shopify from the product page.

Your Shopify listing will reflect the new content once the push is complete.
