Creative Force connection
Bring AI content generation into the production workflow your team already uses. The Creative Force connection lets you send product images, style guide details, and workflow instructions into Dreem, generate content at scale, and return finished assets back to Creative Force without changing your studio process.
What the Creative Force connection does
The Creative Force connection lets teams turn Creative Force production requests into Dreem sessions. When a request reaches the Dreem step in Creative Force, Dreem receives the relevant production context and creates a session where your team can generate the required content.
When the connection is set up, your team can:
Send production request from Creative Force into Dreem
Create Dreem sessions from Creative Force production workflows
Use Creative Force production details, style guide information, instructions, and rejection notes inside Dreem
Generate content in Dreem using available content types
Return generated assets back to the Creative Force workflow
Creative Force sessions can be used with Dreem content types such as Virtual Model, Product Shots, Image to Video, and Content Kits.
Getting Started
To connect Creative Force with Dreem, you need access to both platforms.
You will need:
Access to your Dreem workspace settings (workspace admin or owner only)
Permission to create API keys in Dreem
Admin access in Creative Force
Access to Studio Settings in Creative Force
A Creative Force Client ID and Client Secret
A Dreem API key
Notes: On Creative Force, Dreem is an add-on for Workflow Engine V2. If your team does not see Dreem available in Creative Force, contact your Creative Force CSM or workspace admin.
Step 1: Register Dreem as an app in Creative Force
Create a registered app in Creative Force to generate credentials for Dreem.
Go to Studio Settings → Registered Apps and select Register App.
Choose Client Credentials, enter a name/description. For the 'On Behalf User', you will need to select a user with Admin Permissions.
Save and copy the Client ID and Client Secret, you’ll need them to set up the connection in Dreem.
Step 2: Create an API key in Dreem
In Dreem, create an API key by going to your user icon → Settings → API Keys.
Create a new key, give it a name, e.g. Creative Force connection, then select Create.
Keep the key handy, you will need it when creating the connection in Dreem and when enabling the connector in Creative Force.
Step 3: Create the Creative Force connection in Dreem
In Dreem, go to User icon → Settings → Connections.
Choose Creative Force → Create, then enter:
Client ID (the one you have created in Step 1)
Client Secret (the one you have created in Step 1)
Dreem API Key (the key you created in Step 2)
Select Create to save. Dreem should now be connected to Creative Force.
Step 4: Enable the Dreem connector in Creative Force
Once you’ve created the connection in Dreem, head back to Creative Force to turn on the connector.
Go to Studio Settings → Connectors → Dreem, open the Dreem connector settings, paste your Dreem API key, then select Enable.
You’re all set! Dreem and Creative Force can now share production data.
Use the Dreem tester in Creative Force
Creative Force users can explore Dreem from the connector menu by selecting Try It.
The tester opens Dreem in a new window. Tester access is available to Creative Force customers at no charge and does not require adding Dreem account details, such as an API key.
To use the tester, Creative Force users need a role with View or Edit permissions for Connectors.
Production workflow use is separate from tester use. To use Dreem in production workflows, your team needs Workflow Engine V2 and an active Dreem account.
Add Dreem to a Creative Force workflow
Once the connection is enabled, you can add Dreem to a Creative Force workflow as a Cloud Automation step.
It is recommended to use a Generative Workflow, as Dreem can support different output types and formats.
In Creative Force, add a Cloud Automation step, select Dreem, then choose New Session.
When a task reaches this step, Creative Force sends the selected images to Dreem and automatically creates a new session.
Recommended workflow setup
Creative Force supports different workflow configurations depending on how your team wants to review generated assets.
Dreem before Final Selection
Use this setup when generated assets should move forward in the Creative Force workflow without a separate Cloud Automation QC review step.
When the Dreem step is completed, the production can move directly to the next available workflow step after Final Selection.
Dreem before Cloud Automation QC
Use this setup when your team wants to review Dreem-generated assets inside Creative Force before they continue in the workflow.
With a Cloud Automation QC step, your team can:
Compare input images with AI-generated outputs
Approve assets so they continue in the workflow
Reject assets back to the Dreem session for regeneration
This setup is useful when your team wants an additional review step before generated assets move forward.
Prepare style guide positions in Creative Force
On Creative Force, when creating or linking a Style Guide for Dreem, make sure each session includes at least one Front and one Back product shot. These views are required to generate images or video.
To avoid missing angles, set your photography positions to require Front and Back.
Dreem Sessions
How Creative Force sessions appear in Dreem
When a task reaches the Dreem step in Creative Force, images are sent to Dreem automatically and shown as a new session.
In the Dreem session list, Creative Force sessions display a Creative Force indicator on the asset preview. A blue indicator shows that the session is a new task.
Inside the Dreem session, you will see the product images and relevant production information from Creative Force. Input images are loaded into the chat interface, and assets may be pre-mapped to Dreem positions based on assigned Creative Force photography position.
From there, select the content type you want to generate and continue working in Dreem Studio.
Supported Content types
Content type | Use this when |
Virtual Model | You want to place products on AI-generated models with selected poses, backgrounds, or styling. |
Product Shots | You want to generate clean product imagery with controlled lighting and composition. |
Image to Video | You want to turn static product images into short video content for marketing or social channels. |
Content Kits | You want to access multiple Dreem generation tools from one session. |

View Creative Force details in Dreem
When working in a Creative Force session, open Details from the top menu in Dreem Studio.
The Details panel shows production context sent from Creative Force.
Details tab | What it shows |
Overview | Production data related to the Creative Force product, including product properties. |
Style Guide | Style guide information, reference images, and photography positions. |
Instructions | Notes, instructions, or markup added in earlier Creative Force workflow steps. |
Rejections | Notes or markup added when the task was rejected back to Dreem. |
Use this information before generating or regenerating assets so you understand the product context, creative direction, and any previous feedback.
Send generated assets back to Creative Force
After assets are generated in Dreem, they are returned to Creative Force whenever you submit the qualified output.
What appears in Creative Force depends on the workflow transition.
Workflow transition | What Creative Force shows |
Dreem → Cloud Automation QC | Both input assets and AI-generated outputs. |
Dreem → Final Selection | Output assets only. |
Troubleshooting
Error or issue | What it means | What to do |
Insufficient credits | Your Dreem account does not have enough credits to continue generating assets. | Top up your Dreem balance or contact the person who manages your Dreem account. |
Authentication failed | The Dreem API key or Creative Force connection credentials may be incorrect. | Check the Dreem API key, Client ID, and Client Secret. Make sure the Creative Force app uses Client Credentials, the On Behalf User has admin permissions, and re-enable the connector after updating credentials. |
Rate limit exceeded | Too many sessions or requests were submitted in a short period. | Wait before submitting more sessions, then try again. |
File size or file type errors | One or more images do not meet the supported file requirements. | Use supported file types only: JPEG, PNG, WEBP, or AVIF. Make sure the session includes no more than 10 images, and each image is no larger than 20 MB. |
Cannot connect a Creative Force workspace to Dreem | One Dreem workspace can be linked to multiple Creative Force workspaces, but each Creative Force workspace can only be linked to one Dreem workspace. If the Creative Force workspace is already linked to another Dreem workspace, it cannot be connected again. | Check whether the Creative Force workspace is already connected to another Dreem workspace. If it is, disconnect or update the existing connection before trying to connect it to a different Dreem workspace. |
