How to Set Up the Dreem MCP Server on Claude

The Dreem MCP server connects Claude to your Dreem account, letting you generate Content Kits, Product Shots, Virtual Models, and image-to-video content directly from Claude using your Dreem credits and assets.

Why use this

Ecommerce teams working across multiple tools often need to move quickly between sourcing product images and generating content. The Dreem MCP Server removes a step in that process - instead of logging into Dreem separately, you can trigger Virtual Model, Image-to-video and Product Shot generations from within Claude, using a public image URL as your starting point.

This is particularly useful if you're already using Claude for tasks like writing product copy or planning shoots, and want to generate visual content in the same workflow without switching platforms.

Before you start

You will need an active Dreem account and access to Claude (claude.ai or the Claude desktop app).

Step 1: Add the Dreem connector

  1. Open Claude and select Customize in the left sidebar.

  2. Go to Connectors, then click Add and select Add custom connector.

  3. Give it a name (for example, "Dreem") and paste the MCP server URL: https://mcp.dreem.ai/mcp

  4. Click Add.

Step 2: Connect and grant permissions

  1. In the Dreem connector view, click “Connect” to connect Claude to your Dreem account

  2. A new window will open, prompting you to sign in to your Dreem account and grant permissions.

  3. The connector requests two access scopes: MCP Read (read access to your Dreem account) and MCP Write (write access to trigger generations).

  4. Click Allow Access to confirm.

Step 3: Configure tool permissions

Once connected, you can control when Claude is allowed to use each Dreem tool. In the Dreem connector settings, you will see a list of available tools, including:

  • Get generation status

  • Get video prompt

  • List shots by IDs

  • List talents by IDs

  • Dreem MCP overview

  • Search shot catalog

  • Search talent catalog

  • Search video prompt catalog

  • Generate image-to-video

  • Generate virtual model

  • Generate packshot

Set each tool to Always, Ask, or Never depending on your preferred level of control.

What you can do once connected

With the Dreem MCP server active, you can prompt Claude to generate Virtual Models, Image-to-video and Product Shot directly from a public image URL.
