Generating Your First Content in Dreem

Dreem makes it easy to create high-quality product content with AI. Each content type is easy to create using guided steps in Dreem. This article walks you through how to create, refine, and download your content.

Choosing a Content Type

In Dreem, all content starts in Studio, where you can choose from four AI generation types:

Content Kit

Create a full set of product visuals, including product shots, virtual model images, and image-to-video outputs.

Virtual Model

Place your product onto a lifelike AI model using selected poses and styling options.

Product Shot

Generate clean product images creating e-commerce-ready assets.

Video

Turn a product image into a short video clip featuring basic motion or rotation.

Generating Your First Output

Follow these steps to generate content using any of the four types:

Step 1 — Open Studio

From the left navigation, click Studio, or click the green arrow on the Studio module.

Step 2 — Select a File to Upload

Accepted file types are: JPG, JPEG, PNG, WEBP, or AVIF with a 20MB max. For the highest-quality results, upload as many product angles as possible (front, back, logo, pattern details, and more), then assign each image to the correct angle label (front, back, detail or styling). Dreem will automatically prepare your inputs for generation.

Step 3 — Choose Your Settings

Choose the generation type you want to start with: Content Kit, Virtual Model, Product Shot, or Video. Each generation type includes customizable options such as:

  • Prompt or creative direction

  • Model, pose, and styling (Virtual Model)

  • View selection (Product Shot)

  • Motion length (Video)

Dreem shows these options clearly before you generate.

Step 4 — Generate

Click Generate to create your first output.

Once complete, your generated output will appear in the canvas and preview panel.

Editing or Regenerating Outputs

After generating content, Dreem gives you several ways to refine your results.

Option 1: Edit with Dreem's Image Editing tool

Image Editing in Dreem is designed to feel like post-production for AI-generated content, so you don't have to start over every time you need a change. Instead of regenerating entire images, you can refine specific details while keeping the original composition and context intact.

Open any image to make targeted updates using prompts (e.g., "change the shoes to loafers") or the drawing/brush tool to indicate exactly where changes should be applied. You can also attach a reference image for better detail accuracy. Each request generates a new version, allowing you to quickly iterate, compare results, and revert to earlier versions as needed.

Option 2: Regenerate Variations

If you want a completely new result:

  • Click Generate to produce fresh variations

  • Adjust your settings or prompt

  • Try multiple poses, angles, or styles

Saving and Downloading Outputs

When you’re happy with your result, the asset will be saved to your session, or you can choose to export it.

Download

For immediate use, click Download to save the image or video.

Download formats include:

  • PNG (Product Shot, Virtual Model)

  • MP4 (Video)

Version History

Dreem also keeps a history of your generated results so you can:

  • Revisit older versions

  • Compare variations

  • Restore a previous output at any time
