Account deletion is not immediate. After you request deletion, your account enters a pending deletion period. During this time, you can still cancel the request before the account is permanently deleted.
How to delete your account
To request account deletion:
Go to Profile Settings
Open My Settings
Select Delete Account
Follow the on-screen instructions to confirm your request
After you submit the request, your account enters the pending deletion period. You can still cancel the request before the permanent deletion date.
Before you delete your account
Before your account can be deleted, Dreem checks whether you own any workspaces.
If you own a Team or Pro workspace that has other members, you must transfer ownership to another member before you can delete your account. This helps prevent active team workspaces from losing their owner.
If you only own Free workspaces or paid workspaces where you are the only member, you can continue with account deletion.
What happens after you request account deletion
When you request account deletion:
Your account is marked for deletion.
Your personal information is scheduled for removal or anonymization.
Any workspaces you own are also scheduled for deletion as part of the account deletion process.
You will receive a reminder email before permanent deletion.
Your account will be permanently deleted after the deletion period ends.
During the deletion period
While your account is pending deletion, some actions are restricted. You will not be able to:
Delete a workspace separately
Invite new users to workspaces you own
Buy a new subscription
Downgrade or change your subscription plan lifecycle
These restrictions help keep your account and related workspace data in a consistent state while deletion is pending.
Can you cancel account deletion?
Yes. You can cancel your account deletion request before the permanent deletion date.
If you cancel in time, your account will be restored to active status. Any owned workspaces that were scheduled for deletion as part of the account deletion request will also be restored.
When will your account be permanently deleted?
Your account is permanently deleted 30 days after you request deletion.
Before that happens, Dreem sends a warning email 9 days before the permanent deletion date so you have time to cancel the request if needed.
After permanent deletion, you will receive a confirmation email.
What happens to your personal data?
When your account is deleted, Dreem removes or anonymizes personal data associated with your account, such as your email address, username, IP address, and other personally identifiable information.
Dreem also removes or deletes your user data from connected third-party services where applicable, such as billing, analytics, messaging, and customer communication platforms.
Why can’t you delete my account?
You may be blocked from deleting your account if you own a Team or Pro workspace with other members.
To continue, transfer workspace ownership to another member first. After ownership has been transferred, you can request account deletion again.
