Why is my upload failing?

Image uploads usually fail for one of a few predictable reasons. Use the checks below to identify the cause quickly and get back to generating.

Not Enough Credits

If you are out of credits, uploads and generation may be blocked.

  • Check your remaining credits in the top-right of Studio or on the Homepage.

  • If you are on a paid plan, you can purchase additional credit packages when needed.

File type Issues

Dreem only accepts the following formats:

  • JPG / JPEG

  • PNG

  • WEBP

  • AVIF

If your file was exported from another tool, re-export it to one of the supported formats and try again.

File Size Issues

The maximum file size is 20 MB per image.

  • If your image is larger than 20 MB, compress it or resize it (without heavily degrading quality) and upload again.

  • If you are exporting from Photoshop or a similar tool, lowering quality slightly or reducing pixel dimensions typically brings the file under the limit.
